Who We Are
In the gospel according to Matthew, Jesus gave The Great Commission after His resurrection from the grave and His appearance before his disciples. He said:
"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.
The San Pablo Avenue church of Christ is a family. We strive to follow God's Divine will and commandments for salvation. As disciples of Christ, we believe firmly in our calling to love and serve each other, and our fellow man. We are a collection of people with flaws and troubles and issues, which is why we are overjoyed by the grace and mercy and love that God has blessed us with.
Devotion and Bible Classes
- Junior Senior High school
Our class time is spent studying God’s Word and discussing how it applies to our lives. During the class, feel free to make comments or ask questions, or just enjoy learning and meeting new people and making friends.
Our Sunday morning worship service begins at 11:00 am with a song, followed by a greetings and announcements. This will be followed by more congregational singing. Please join us in singing praises to our Lord!
During our worship service, a message from God’s Word will be presented for the purpose to give a deeper understanding of God’s will, and to inspire us to apply Scriptural truth to our lives. After the sermon, the minister extends an invitation to the gospel message and prayer requests are honored.
We observe the Lord’s Supper or (Communion) in which Christians reflect on the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. After Communion, a collection will be taken up for continued support for work of the Lord. However, as our guest, you should feel no obligation to give.
At the end of the service, a prayer is offered, then one of our elders will give an encouraging exhortation and we are dismissed.
